Medical Boarding for Dogs and Cats
South Bend Animal Clinic offers medical boarding for our current dog and cat patients.
Medical boarding is by reservation only. Limited boarding services are available for current patients who may require more medical attention and/or care than the average boarding facility can provide. Our licensed veterinary technician and medically trained assistants will be caring for these patients while they are boarding.*
To ensure that we have proper personnel scheduled, we request a two-week notice if patients will need to board over weekends or holidays. Because this is a medical setting where sick animals will also be hospitalized, all boarding pets will be require to be current on vaccinations (see requirements below).
We pay special attention to assure your pet is safe and comfortable.
Medical Boarding Requirements
- Dogs must be current on the following vaccines – Distemper/Parvovirus (DHLPP), Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Canine Influenza
- Cats must be current on the following vaccines – Distemper (FVRCP) and Rabies Vaccine
- All pets must be free from Internal and External Parasites
Please feel free to fax your pet's vaccine history to us at 574-232-7822 prior to arrival.
*Please note that this does not involve overnight care or treatment that requires a veterinarian.
